Meet Andrew

After spells with Hearts and Motherwell, Andrew earned a soccer scholarship to the University of Cincinnati and became the program’s first All-American award winner in their history. He was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2010, alongside NFL Super Bowl winner, Brad Jackson, and Olympic Gold medallist, Mary Wineberg.During his four years as a Bearcat, Andrew was named Conference USA USA 'Defensive Player of the Year', Conference USA 'All-Conference 1st Team', a two-time NSCAA All-American, the Ohio 'Player of the Year', NSCAA All-Region, and Cincinnati's ‘Player of the Year'. And as team captain, he led to the team to its first NCAA Soccer National Tournament appearance in 1998 and graduated with a degree in Nutrition & Physiology.

In 2001, Andrew founded FirstPoint USA with the assistance of a £1,000 loan from the Prince’s Scottish Youth Business Trust, and 20 years later the company has gone on to support over 20,000 young sportsmen and women to pursue a similar life-changing experience. A highly respected business leader, he has been a finalist in the Shell LIVEwire Entrepreneur of the Year and Royal Bank of Scotland Young Entrepreneur of the Year awards, respectively. In 2002, he was named as a finalist for the 'Scotsman of the Year' award alongside Sir Jackie Stewart, Sir Ian Wilmut, and Lord Robertson, while he has also served on the Board of the England Women’s Golf Association (now England Golf) and as an Aftercare Advisor for the Prince’s Trust.
