Nicole and Barry’s Comments
FirstPoint USA’s Nicole and Barry had the following to say about their time at Binghamton, playing soccer for the University.
“Binghamton was our home for four years and we would not have changed it
for the world. We both had incredible experiences on and off the pitch.
We both had traveled around 3,000 miles to get to Binghamton every
year. Homesickness was natural and bound to happen, but the school
really do provide all the support and help you need…FOR ANYTHING.
As an athlete our experience was totally different than the average
student. We would be required to balance everything in our life from
training, to our coursework, road games, missing classes, our social
life – ultimately needing to succeed in the classroom and on the pitch
every single day.
Binghamton is regarded as one of the top academic institutions in the
northeast of the country. Major firms from New York city regularly
recruit graduates to work in their offices upon graduation. Binghamton
University is regularly recognized for their outstanding academic
success and is mentioned in the ‘Princeton Review’ and ‘U.S. News & World
Report’
Binghamton will always have a special place in our hearts for many
reasons. The University and athletics program in particular really drill
their values into you and it becomes part of who you are. No matter what
we do or where go, we will always be Binghamton Bearcats for life!”
