How Do We Evaluate the Athletes
Five-star player: 65 to 80
A potential immediate game-changer at the major college level who could push for all-conference recognition as a freshman. Will enter college with elite skills needed to make an impact against top-level competition. A future All-American candidate.
Four-star player: 59.5 to 64.99
A potential 3- to 4-year starter at the college level with the superior skills needed to see early playing time and make a significant impact during his college career.
Three-star player: 55.0 to 59.49
A player with the skills to develop into a solid starter at the college level. Potential high-ceiling prospect with the ability to make an impact during his career.
Two-star player: 48 to 54.99
A player who flashes developable college talent and could be a late bloomer. Potential solid starter.
One-star player: 45 to 47.9
Player does not show the physical tools or playing ability at this point to contribute immediately at a strong college level, but will contribute at a mid-level program.
Soccer – How Do We Evaluate Each Goalkeeper?
A score out of ‘10’ is provided for each playing quality, then tallied-up and provides you with a total score out of a possible ’80’. For example, the mock goalkeeper below would have scored 69/80 and would therefore have been labeled as a ‘5-star player’.

Golf – How Do We Evaluate Each Player?
The golf staff assess each player individually at the FirstPointUSA.com Assessment Centre at The Carrick, Loch Lomond (Scotland). They spend a great deal of time analysing each player and ranking them based on:
- Handicap
- Tournament Scores
- One-to-one playing assessment
- Interview
- Ball striking ability
- Short game
- Mental preparation
