The FirstPointUSA Scholarship Service provides the best possible opportunity for athletes looking to compete at the highest of levels while pursuing a degree at an American university.

Before signing with FirstPoint USA

  • 'Sporting Evaluation and Group Presentation': introducing the candidate and their parents to American education and collegiate sport.

  • One-to-one interview with FirstPoint USA sports staff; assessing athletic and academic aptitudes and evaluating potential cost of education.

  • Offer of place with FirstPoint USA; for successful candidates

 

After departure to the United States

  • Our service to the client officially ends once they depart for the United States

  • We remain available to all clients and their parents should they have any questions or concerns during the client's time in America

 

Stage 1

  • SAT, ACT & TOEFL test' enrolment; where applicable.
  • Video capture, editing and processing.
  • Creation of client's athletic and academic resume.
  • Academic eligibility pre-qualification.
  • Athletic eligibility pre-qualification.
  • International transcripts conversion into US GPA (as per NCAA guidelines).
  • NCAA & NAIA Clearinghouse enrolment; where applicable.
  • Showcase participation; soccer only.

Stage 2

  • Promotion of client's resume to our network of American coaches and universities; relative to client's athletic/academic credentials.
  • Daily management of coach communication.
  • Review of college interest and offers.
  • Advise client of admissions requirements; affidavit of support, transcripts, I-20, etc.
  • Advise client of F-1 student visa application and interview.
  • Membership to Varsity Club; offering discounted travel, insurance and financial planning.
