Amy Kee Named National Rookie of the Year

Amy Kee, the former FirstPoint USA athlete and current freshman at Syracuse University was named the 2009 ECAC Division I Field Hockey Rookie of the Year the league announced on Monday, November 30. Kee was also named to the 2009 ECAC Division I First Team All-Star Squad.
Kee was named to the Longstreth/NFHCA Division I All-American Second Team, the womensfieldhockey.com All-America Second Team, the womensfieldhockey.com All-Rookie Squad, the Longstreth/NFHCA Division I All-Mideast Region First Team, the BIG EAST First Team and BIG EAST Championship All-Tournament Team. Kee was named the BIG EAST Offensive and BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week once during her freshman campaign. Kee also earned ECAC Offensive Player of the Week honors as well as womensfieldhockey.com Rookie of the Week accolades. A four-time member of the BIG EAST Honor Roll, Kee has registered 34 points off 12 goals and 10 assists.
