Head Swim Coach

Saint Leo University Department of Athletics invites applications for the position of Head Swim Coach. This ten-month, full-time position is responsible for managing, organizing and administering all phases of the swimming program for men and women in accordance with NCAA and Sunshine State Conference rules and regulations. The swim program currently competes in the Bluegrass Conference. Sports Information Director, Midwest Conference

The Midwest Conference (MWC) is seeking a highly self-motivated individual to fill the entry-level position of Sports Information Director. The individual will handle all sports information duties for 20 sports among ten member institutions including updating the MWC website, compilation of cumulative statistics, issuing press releases, creating composite schedules and publishing the MWC newsletter. The candidate will also handle media relations and serve as the liaison to the NCAA for all matters regarding statistics. Additional responsibilities include oversight of the league-wide webcast program along with planning, promoting and attending championship events, and other duties as assigned by the Commissioner.

Requirements
Bachelor’s degree required. Candidate must demonstrate strong interest in intercollegiate athletics and familiarity with the NCAA and Division III philosophy. Strong written and oral communication skills are vital. Proficient in Stat Crew, Word, Excel, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign and PageMaker (or other publishing software) and some experience in web publishing preferred. The individual should have a valid driver’s license.

Assistant Women's Soccer Coach, UMBC Athletics

Athletics Director, Hope College

The Department of Kinesiology at Hope College seeks applicants for a faculty position that will begin July 1, 2009. Football Video Specialist

The Football Video Specialist will assist with all video services for the football program. Additionally, the incumbent must maintain collaborative working relationships with coaches and staff in the department as well as other football programs.

DESCRIPTION: Videotape, process and edit all football games, practices and various drills as requested by the Head Football Coach. Taping includes preparing offensive, defensive, and special teams tapes for use by the coaching staff. Editing includes tapes of the University of Hawaii and their prospective opponents. Meets daily with the head coach or coordinators in planning special assignments and camera set-ups. Organize video equipment for home and away games. Prepare special tapes with varying combinations of sequences of plays as required and sequenced by the coaching staff. Inventory and order all video related supplies. Responsible for monitoring/procuring of replacement equipment. Study/analyze equipment and system for upgrading and improvements. Prepare all tapes and cutup breakdowns for the coaching staff from the past season. During recruiting season, make highlight films and recruiting films for the staff. Prepare highlight films from the past games for the Head Coaches’ weekly booster club luncheon. Know, recognize, and comply with the laws, policies, rules, and regulations governing the University of Hawaii and its employees, and the rules of the National Collegiate Athletic Association and of the Western Athletic Conference as now constituted or as may be amended in the future. Immediately advises the Director of Athletics or designee if you have reasonable cause to believe violations, whether by employees or students, have occurred or will occur. MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Graduation from an accredited college or university in communication or related field; One (1) year video experience with an editing system or any equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of football as played at the collegiate level. Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays.


DESIRABLE QUALIFICATION: Video experience with a football editing system at the collegiate level.

The NCAA/NBA youth basketball initiative is an effort to enhance pre-collegiate youth basketball in the United States.
