Meet Laura
A talented athlete who has competed for Great Britain and in the US at NCAA DI level, Laura Lewis is the FirstPoint USA Associate Director-Olympic Sports. As a student-athlete, Laura undertook a Master’s Degree in Human Performance at an NCAA Division 1 University in Louisiana, where she competed in javelin.
Laura was a key member of the World University Games British team staff in Naples Italy, 2019 and has previously provided sport science and physical preparation expertise to national volleyball, tennis, water polo and golf programs.
During a 15-year career in sports performance Laura established the youth development pathway for Northern Ireland and coached Northern Ireland Track and Field Teams to two Commonwealth Games. As Team Leader for Great Britain at the European U18 Athletics Championships 2022 Laura led the team to their best ever performance and top of the European medal table.
During her time at FirstPoint USA Laura has established strong links with US Coaches placing athletes from a variety of sports including field hockey, track & field, tennis, golf, volleyball, swimming and diving into prestigious schools including Princeton, Cornell, Oklahoma State, Michigan State, University of Massachusetts-Amherst, University of Texas San Antonio and University of Connecticut.
