Meet Spencer
With a career in the industry spanning more than a quarter of a century, Henderson is one of Europe’s most respected junior golf coaches. His extensive resume includes high-profile leadership positions with national governing bodies across Scotland, Turkey, and Azerbaijan.
During his initial tenure with the Scottish Golf Union, Spencer led the country to a European Youth Team Championship title, mentoring future DP World Tour winners such as Richie Ramsay and Scott Jamieson. He was also an integral part of the coaching setup that secured Scotland’s historic victory at the World Amateur Team Championship in Australia - a team featuring FirstPoint alumnus Callum Macaulay and Gavin Dear.
Spencer was recruited as the first ever National Golf Coach for both the Turkish Golf Federation and Azerbaijan Golf Federation, before returning to Scotland to become Scottish Golf’s National Junior Coach then National Men’s Head Coach. His roles also include coaching at the Paul Lawrie Academy in Aberdeen and has developed some of the best junior golfers in Scotland.
