Stanford University head coach Tata Danielson has announced the signing of six recruits to National Letters of Intent. The group will join the Cardinal for the 2011 campaign.

"A 5-7 goalkeeper, Davies is the latest England product to join the Cardinal, joining sophomore and returning leading scorer Becky Dru. Davies possesses a wealth of national team experience as a member of England's U16, U18 and U21 squads, including a bronze-medal finish in 2009 at the U18 Europeans tourney. Davies arrives on The Farm from Alleyn's School, where she was twice named Sportsperson of the Year and a two-time recipient of the David Furnell Trophy for Outstanding Sporting Achievement. A field hockey captain during her senior year, Davies led her squad to a finals appearance during the 2009 English School Indoor Nationals while capturing the Surrey Schools Tournament in 2007. A versatile athlete, Davies was also a four-year letterwinner in water polo at the U16 and U18 levels."
