Guest Post - written by Allen McDougall
With Roger Federer winning his seventh Wimbledon title last month and Micheal Phelps becoming the Olympian with the highest number of gold medal wins, some asked the question – “Who’s the greatest ever sportsman?”
What are the qualities needed to be given the title “The worlds greatest”? Is it the number of honours they have won? Is it the consistency of their performance on the world stage? Are individual sportsmen regarded higher than sportsmen who have the support of their team? Many Sportsmen have preformed great things on the field but have let themselves down with their off field antics (should that even be taken into consideration?)
We asked the FirstpointUSA staff for their top 3 sportsmen/women of all time and we ask you to do the same through Twitter using #FirstPointUSATop3 . You can tweet us directly at @FirstPointUSA1
