Haydn's Living The American Dream

My name is Haydn Cahill (20) from Doncaster UK and I started on my American journey on 28th August 2012. I flew out to New Jersey to take my soccer career further on a scholarship I received from FirstPoint USA! Sadly I missed the first 5 games but I managed to get into the first team with my motivation and determination to achieve, and scored 5 goals in 8 starts. FirstPoint USA got me everything, played me in trial games and got me recognised; I received 5 offers before flying out to New Jersey, offers including: two from New York, New Jersey itself, Maine and West Virginia. Playing in America is something different yet amazing at the same time. I have met so many new and great people out here and my career is starting to look great not only football wise, but academically too, as I am studying Sport Management here in New Jersey. Also we made it to the Semi finals of the NJCAA Championship but unfortunately didn’t win but the experience was great. My career didn’t stop there; as my first year is coming to an end I have received 5 new offers all from California! I have received offers from; Santa Barbara, Long Beach, San Diego, Lassen and Cypress which was great news to hear. I have accepted a transfer request and currently working on it which I will be starting as a striker for the team in the fall season. I wouldn’t be here without FirstPoint USA, who have changed by life. My future is looking bright and exciting; my apartment in sunny California awaits me as well as my own pool, jacuzzi, gym, games room, and best of all, my new home ground! Goals will be scored and hopefully I will get recognised to show off my talent and maybe take it that step further to help me land a pro contract. I believe in myself and put in hard work, but I have to thank FirstPoint USA and all the staff for getting me this far. Thank you guys! I recommend FirstPoint USA to all those athletes wanting to start their career in football at a different level. The level is hard, but gets you where you want!
