Some superb news coming out of FirstPoint USA with Montrose born, Kyle McLeod becoming the latest athlete to have signed with us. Kyle has played for a solid array of teams such as Arbroath and Montrose Football Club at several different age groups and is determined to make a mark in the States like several of our athletes have done lately!
When we spoke to Kyle, he made it clear he was incredibly excited to face the challenge ahead on and off the pitch, having to get used to a new country as well as performing in the classroom. Kyle, as well as excelling in soccer has pursued avenues in both tennis and taekwondo resulting in winning a British Championship medal in 2008 for sparing!
Everyone in the FirstPoint USA team wishes Kyle the best and will offer all the support they can to make sure he thrives in the States like hundreds of our other FirstPoint USA clients have.
Elsewhere Ben Mendoza and his URG side thrashed Saint Thomas 5-1 on the weekend meaning they've conceded just three and scored a staggering 13 on the way NAIA National Tournament second round! They will be facing Corban University on the 29th and we'll have news on that game closer to the time. Unfortunately UIC Flames and Max Todd were narrowly edged out of the NCAA Tournament by Loyola ending a terrific season for them.
