Major League Rugby is set to host the first ever collegiate draft on June 13th and 14th, 2020. Venue and further details are still to be announced. 

The MLR is only in its third season, but this draft is a huge step for this professional league and showcases its growing popularity of the states. 

There will be 4 rounds in the MLR Draft and the order of selection will be determined by the inverse order of standings from the 2020 season.

To be eligible for the draft collegiate players must meet the below criteria

  • Played US collegiate rugby in the one year preceding the draft.
  • Completed three years of college or be at least 21 years of age.

Players who meet the above requirements have until May 17th 2020 to fill out the enrolment form, found on the MLR website and declare for the 2020 MLR Draft.
