Scholarships are available in all three Divisions of the NCAA. The NAIA and NJCAA also offer scholarships. There are over 500 college golf programs at NCAA colleges alone.
As U.S College Golf is a non-revenue sport, most college coaches are very careful about their recruiting budgets. Coaches are looking for talented young individuals who have a good handicap and ranking. Equally, coaches are looking for players who have good academic standing.
